What is paint-less dent repair (PDR)?
PDR is the art of using special tools to remove minor dents and door dings. (Up to about the size of your hand.) We get behind the dented panel to push and “massage” the metal back until the damage is repaired. This is possible because your car’s steel panels have a “memory” of their original, factory-formed shape.
Is PDR Cheaper Then Repainting?
Yes. PDR only costs about $150 – $200 per dent or panel. Any reputable body shop must charge $600 to $1200 to pull the dent and repaint the panel.
What are the advantages of PDR over traditional body shop methods?
The PDR process removes dents and dings from your vehicle without disturbing its original paint finish. No sanding, no body fillers, no repainting!
Are there any disadvantages to using PDR?
No. There’s no risk either because if we can’t repair it, then there’s no charge to you!
Limits of PDR.
We repair your dent by pushing and massaging on the back side of the panel so if we cannot access the back side of the dent then we cannot repair it. (With no cost to you of course.)
If the damage is very near the edge of a door, fender, hood, etc. then PDR may not be effective.
If there is cracked, fractured, or missing paint at the damage site then we may still repair the metal, but you will still have the paint damage.
PDR will not work on:
· bumpers or chrome
· panels that have had previous body repair
Lease customers
It is imperative to have us fix your dents with PDR prior to the end of your lease to avoid paying those expensive repair charges.
